Educational Qualification	Holder of a degree in Food Technology, or Dairy Technology, or Biotechnology, or Oil Technology, or Agricultural Science, or Veterinary Sciences, or Bio-Chemistry, or Microbiology, or Master’s Degree in Chemistry, or Degree in Medicine from a recognized University. OR Holder of any other equivalent/ recognized qualification notified by the Central Government; and at least 5 years-working experience in the field of Food Safety & Standards. However, no person who has any financial interest in the manufacture, import, or Sale of any article of food shall be appointed to be a Food Safety inspecting Officer under the Food Safety and standard Rules, 2011. Knowledge of Bengali and other Languages --- spoken and written is necessary.
Salary Details	Rs. 9,000/- – 40,500/- [Grade Pay – Rs. 4,700/-].
Age	Shall not be less than 21 Years and not more than 36 years as on 1st. January, 2019; relax able for SC/ ST/ OBC/PH candidates as per existing Rules of the Government of West Bengal, provided that the upper age limit may be relaxed by the State Government by order.
